At Joondalup Education Support Centre we use an individualised approach to History.  This acknowledges that all children do not learn in the same way. Resources are catergorised according to early childhood (PP- 3) and middle childhood (4-6).

Early Childhood (PP- 3)

In History our early learners engage in activities to do with:

• Personal and family histories
• Present and past family life
• The past in the present

Middle childhood (4-6)

In History our older learners engage in activities to do with:

• Community and remembrance
• First contacts
• The Australian Colonies
• Australia as a nation
• Civics and Citizenship
