Lets Talk with AAC
Over the last month we have started to send out information on the Key Word Signs and Auslan signs that we are using at school. This fortnight’s focus is to use the signs:
“I,” “want,” “eat” and “drink.”

These signs can also be used several times during the day both at school and at home.
For example:
- During mealtimes, morning or afternoon tea
- You could set up a little tea party or picnic and ask your child to request food/drink.
- Playing with dolls or teddy’s- the toys could be eating and your child could comment that they want to eat or drink
Please remember to speak to your classroom teacher if your child signs differ from the ones we are teaching so we can adjust for your child.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s communication, please contact your classroom teacher or an AAC Co-ordinator.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s communication please contact your classroom teacher or an AAC Co-ordinator.
