This term we have been learning all out Minibeasts. First we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and talked about the changes a caterpillar goes through. We then made a lifecycle showing the growth from an egg, to a caterpillar and into a chrysalis.

Next we read The Bad Tempered Ladybird, and talked about what makes us angry and how to be kind. We made some grumpy faced ladybirds by cutting, gluing and writing.

Then we read The Very Busy Spider. We weaved spider webs and made hand print spiders to match. We talked about what it means to be busy, and wrote and drew pictures of ourselves being busy.

During this term we even looked after our very own caterpillar and fed him lots of healthy vegetables, before letting him loose into the garden.

It has been an exciting, bug filled term!
