We purchased Davids trike from K Equip last year.  James from K Equip has designed the trike to meet Davids needs.  It has fixed peddles that go independently for David when the bike is in motion.  The bike also has a handle to allow someone to push up hills and for when he fatigues, due to his muscle strength and endurance associated with his Muscular Dystrophy.

We self funded but there a funding options available through your service providers.

This bike has given David so much independence when we are away on our family camping trips and allows David to be involved with the other children.  He gets a lot of attention from bystanders asking about his bike , which David loves.

This years Walk/Ride to School Day was the first that David has been able to fully participate in, and was heartwarming to see his smile and enjoyment on his face and the faces of his peers, teachers and other parents.
