Science Week

We have had a blast this week celebrating Science Week. Activities were happening all around the school throughout the week as we ventured into space. We even had a “meteor” land at school which had students intrigued. Mr Critchley’s classroom had transformed into a headquarters for astronauts and students learned all about space.

Book Week

Next week Joondalup Schools will be celebrating Book Week. There will be activities available during recess and lunch times and students will be engaging with a theme in their classroom throughout the week. We will end the week with our senior students hosting the campus assembly, and all students will be able to dress as their favourite book character next Friday! Be sure to mark it in your diary for next Friday.

Family Morning Tea

Save the date! The next family morning tea will be held at 9:00am on Friday the  30th of August. Please let Kellie in the front office know if you will be attending for catering purposes. Parents will have the opportunity to talk with each other and debrief about the successes and struggles of services, and strategies for our students.

On Tuesday three Year 5 students were invited to Belridge and join other Year 5 students from other schools. The day consisted of leadership activities and learning how to be a leader. Twelve schools were involved in this day, and students had a wonderful time meeting each other and learning from each other.

Interschool Cross Country

Last Wednesday the Joondalup Interschool Cross Country Team competed against a number of other schools. Overall Joondalup came second, which is an amazing effort as Joondalup Schools was smaller than other schools competing. Congratulations to Karan and Malachi who were part of this team.
