Celebrating Joondalup School Art Competition for 2025.
I'm excited to share the latest updates from the Visual Arts Room!
We are thrilled to announce that several of our talented students have been selected for this year’s Joondalup School Art Competition! The standard of entries was exceptionally high once again, making it a tough task for the judges. Congratulations to Michal, Reece, Noah and Hamish – your incredible artwork is now proudly on display at Whitford Library until Friday, 4 July 2025. We encourage families to visit and celebrate their creativity!
Years 3, 4 & 5 students have been experimenting with colour theory, focusing on the difference between warm & cool colours. One of their recent projects was the Cool & Warm Colour Symmetry Heart – a fun and expressive activity where students painted one side of a heart, then folded and pressed to create a symmetrical print. This project encouraged creativity while reinforcing colour concepts and symmetry in a hands-on, engaging way. You can view these vibrant artworks proudly displayed in our classroom windows – they look amazing!
