Environment and Sustainability Room 34-Zoo visit

Off to the zoo we went!
Rooms 1 and 3, along with three students from Room 2 went to the zoo for an incursion to look at Habitats for Wildlife - a pilot project with Perth Zoo. We even got to go in the new school bus! Students were introduced to conservation actions they can do to help wildlife locally and around the world.
The next step is an incursion at JESC to map the biodiversity of our school grounds and come up with ideas on how to attract more native animals to the site. We will then plan what to make in STEM classes to help us with this project.
We all had a wonderful experience looking at the various habitats of the zoo and what requirements the animals need to survive.
