Principal's Report

Kaya,
We are at the end of the first school term for 2025! It has been a busy couple of weeks with swimming lessons taking our time, focus and attention. We have been fortunate to have our swimming lessons in such warm weather this year, and will be requesting the same time for next year – however we are hopeful for a venue change back to Wanneroo in 2026.
Recently we have celebrated Harmony Day and Ride to School day. Today was our Easter Bonnet Parade, and Easter Raffle. Thank you to all families who have donated prizes to the raffle, purchased tickets, or helped your children create hats for the parade. Our Golden Ticket prize winner was Luther. Congratulations to Luther and all the other winners. Please enjoy some photos from our morning below.

Our Yr 6 Student Leaders attended a leadership camp, and Sensorium have returned to Joondalup performing Oddysea for our junior students. They return at the beginning of next term – and will have transformed part of the undercover area into an underwater adventure!
This Friday 11 April, Joondalup Schools will be holding an ANZAC service at the flags near the undercover area. The service will commence at 9.30am. Families are welcome to attend. Please be aware that not all classes will participate on the day, and may observe the service in their classrooms.
A couple of weeks ago, we were entertained by the Variety Club driving a number of classic cars to our school to symbolise the beginning of one of their classic car adventures. Students had an absolute ball looking, touching and even sitting in the cars. The Variety Club also presented our school with a donation of $7,500, received by our Yr 6 students. We are currently discussing a project or purchase that would benefit all our students. Please enjoy some photos from the visit below.

I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday, and look forward to seeing you back on the first day of Term 2, Monday 28 April.
