From the Art Room

I am excited to share the latest happenings from the visual arts room! It has been a productive and creative few weeks, filled with exploration of new art techniques and materials.
Our younger students have been diving into the world of texture through seahorse collages. They’ve been learning how to create interesting textures by stamping paper, then using those textures to form beautiful images of seahorses. The students are really enjoying this hands-on approach, and the results have been vibrant, unique, and full of creativity.
Our students in Years 5 and 6, have been sewing up a storm to create their very own Among Us plushies! This hands-on project has not only allowed the students to explore the art of sewing and stitching but has also given them the chance to bring a bit of their favorite characters to life. The attention to detail and the pride they take in their work is amazing.
A special mention goes to our Year 6 students, who are extra busy working on their self-portraits for graduation. These pieces are a beautiful reflection of their individual journeys and growth over the years. It’s been wonderful to watch their creativity and dedication shine as they capture their own likenesses in such a meaningful way. These self-portraits will be displayed at the graduation ceremony and are sure to be cherished memories for both the students and their families.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates from our visual arts room!
