Ms Hatton is absent
Natalie Hatton will be absent for the remainder of term. Mr Whitehead, and Mrs Valentino are all still available to contact in her absence. We look forward to seeing Ms Hatton back in Semester 2.
Weather
Winter has finally arrived and with it comes cold and damp days. Please make sure to encourage your child to wear appropriate clothes for the season. Although it's always tempting and can be good fun, let’s all encourage students not to play in the puddles on the way to school as no one like to sit in wet clothes all day!
Starlight
Friday 24 May saw Joondalup Schools take part in a Starlight Dress up Day. Starlight is a charity that works in partnership with health professionals to bring the fun, joy and laughter that helps sick kids, be kids. I’m really pleased to say that we raised $3,802! That’s a fantastic effort and the students looked great. Thanks to all who participated and contributed.
Grants
Mrs Bennett has been working hard and has secured grant money to help with the building of our own chicken coop and start a bush tucker garden. These are both exciting projects and I know that they will add lots of new activities to our already thriving Sustainability curriculum. Well done Mrs Bennett. Please see details in Mrs Bennetts article below.
Reminder that Term 3 commences Tuesday 16 July 2024.
