This term Room 1 looked at being a bucket filler for our Social Skills unit. This week the children were identifying what it means to be a bucket filler verse a bucket dipper. After reading the story “Have You Filled a Bucket Today”, students now understand that everyone has an invisible bucket, and we need to fill others buckets by doing caring and thoughtful things for them.

The whole class has enjoyed practicing different scenarios in the classroom and have loved demonstrating this skill in and out of the classroom setting. It is amazing to watch the variety of ways they are demonstrating being a bucket filler!

All the students have an individualised bucket and receive stars from their peers and teachers for doing kind things for each other. Look at all the stars they have collected!
