Art with Ms Thornton
I am excited to share the latest happenings from the visual arts room! Our students have been immersed in a world of creativity, exploring various mediums such as clay and paint. They have been hard at work moulding coil pots and snails with clay, improving their skills in scoring and slip techniques. The coil pots have been underglazed, and we eagerly anticipate their creations' unveiling after they have been fired in the kiln and given a clear gloss varnish.
The students explored different types of lines to create their snails, from long lines to spiral lines and added beads and eyes to make them sparkle. It has been incredible to see the growth and development of our students' artistic abilities throughout these projects. Their creativity and passion for art have genuinely shone through in their work.
