Principal's Report
Kaya,
We are nearly at the end of the first term already. By now you will have received your child’s IEP. Please read over it, sign it and return it to school, and we will make a copy and return it to you. If you have any queries or feel some changes need to be made please let the classroom teacher know.
This term in physical education students have been learning gross motor, gymnastics and trampolining skills which is perfect for the excursions we have enjoyed at High Flyers! Please enjoy some photo's below.

New playground
Builders have been super busy building and installing new play equipment in the junior playground. There is water play here too, which lots of our students are very excited about.

Bus News
For the last few months the school has been engaging in a process to purchase our own bus for transporting students and staff on excursions. We are up to the part in the process where we are now waiting for our bus to be completed and adapted. It will have a wheelchair lift, and will be able to seat up to 25 people at a time. We are really hopeful to have our brand new bus in the next few months.
Easter Raffle
Thank you so much to all those who have donated and purchased tickets for the Easter Raffle so far. The P&C have organised the raffle, and monies raised go directly back into the school. Winners were announced this afternoon. Congratualtions to all our winners!

Evacuation Drill
We had to postpone our last drill, and therefore rescheduled it to last Tuesday 19 March. These drills are important to have and practice, so in the unlikely event of a real emergency, our students are familiar with what to do, and are comfortable to follow our procedures.
Swimming Lessons
This year swimming lessons will be in Term 3, and will be held at Aquamotion in Wanneroo. Permission slips will be sent home in the coming weeks.
Harmony Week and Ride to School Day
Thank you to everyone who participated in Harmony Week and Ride to School Day. It was wonderful to see so many children with bikes and scooters and dressed in something orange.
Thank you to Woolworths for the generous donation of fruit and water.

Anzac Day Service
The school will hold an Anzac Day Service on Wednesday 24 April commencing at 9.30am. It would be wonderful to have families attend.
Donation Request
Our sports teachers, Mrs Smith and Mr Morrey have asked for donations of empty, large Milo tins in preparation of the faction carnival in Term 3. They only require the large, 1.9kg size please. If you have any to donate, please bring to the front office.
Last day of Term
The last day of Term is Thursday 28 March. Students are invited to wear pyjamas and/or an Easter hat on this day. There will be an Easter hat parade in the undercover area at 9am if anyone would like to come along. Please see flyer below for futher information.
I wish everyone a wonderful school break and look forward to seeing everyone back fresh and ready on Monday 15 April.
