Kaya,

We have had another busy fortnight at school. Everyone has embraced the cooler weather and have enjoyed the “treat” of being able to play outside at recess and lunch times. You may have noticed some new play equipment being installed in our junior playground. We are hopeful this will be completed soon and students will get to play and explore. There will be water play similar to the kindergarten playground which was a must have in the play area.

Evacuation Drill

This Friday 8 March at 2:15pm we will be have an evacuation drill. We are preparing students, and hope to have the drill completed in about 15 minutes. It is important we practice these, so if in the unlikely event we do need to evacuate, students and staff now exactly what to do. We will practice a lock down drill next term.

Swimming Lessons 2024

We have finalised our interm swimming session for 2024. This year we will be attending Aquamotion in Wanneroo. We have been given the dates of 12 August – 23 August which is weeks 5 and 6 of Term 3. There will be more information coming to families closer to the date.

P&C Donations – 2023

A huge thank you to our P&C who were able to donate $13,898 to Joondalup Schools throughout 2023. The schools were able to buy much needed resources and equipment, for us it was initalit books for our streamed literacy lessons. The P&C are really active in our school community, we are really lucky. They have already planned a number of events for students throughout the year including a disco, colour run and Mother’s/Father’s day stalls.
