This term in STEM we have looked at Biological Science. Students have learnt about plants or animals. Kindy students have participated in many animals themed fine motor activities; stacking blocks, using tweezers and developing push and pull skills.

Rooms 14, 23, 28, 29 and 35 have completed an animal movement unit looking at different ways animals move. Students have made birds that can fly in the wind, spiders that can crawl, and bunnies that jump.

Rooms 21, 22, 25, 26 and 27 have been looking at the external features of plants. Throughout the term, students have participated in different seed, leaf and flowers activities.

Rooms 1, 2 and 3 have been learning about animal homes and shelter and have designed and built various homes this term including a bird cage, birds house, spiders web and dog kennel.

Year 6 classes have learnt about different animal adaptations, including penguins, polar bears blubber, bird beaks, echidnas and camouflage animals.
