Room 16 has had an exciting start of the year. This year we have teamed up with Room 9 to run Minecraft Masters. Our builds have followed our fortnightly themes, with water being our theme in weeks 2 and 3, and plants, week 4 and 5. Our favourite build for our water theme was the water park, where our boys constructed an amazing park full of waterslides and pools. Our favourite build for plants were our future farms, where we had our first tie between Room 16 and Room 9! All of our students have been showing us their fantastic creativity and thinking critically in order to produce the best product.

Team work is major aspect of our learning in Yr 6, and our students have been completing team activities to practice skills such as turn taking, respectful communication and leadership. Our favourite activity has been our aluminium boats, where students had to create a boat from aluminium, and see how many counters it would carry. It was a fun activity and everyone worked fantastically well together.
