We have had a fantastic start to the new school year in Room 1!

In the first few days of school, we focussed on getting to know one another and discussed what everyone did during their school holidays. Each student created an ‘All about me’ poster which showcased different facts about themselves as well as their favourite colour, sport, movie, food, and animal. This activity was a great way to learn new information about each other and helped us find similarities with our friends.  

During the first week, we also celebrated the Chinese New Year. We got to learn about the importance of the Chinese New Year and the story behind its origin. As part of our celebrations, we each created a paper dragon which symbolises good luck for the year ahead. It was wonderful to see how engaged each student was during this activity and the effort that was put into creating their dragons.

Well done to Room 1 for a great start to the term. We are all looking forward to the exciting year ahead!
