A Big Year for Room 9!
The Year 6s in Room 9 have had an absolutely fantastic year. There have been so many highlights along the way, that it has been hard to narrow it down to just a few. The children have agreed that camp was amazing as they got to spend time with their friends, they loved the spaghetti bolognaise for dinner and they got to ride the bus to many different activities like the Puppet Theatre, Scitech and Fremantle playground.
The students have had lots of opportunities to socialise and complete activities with their peers in the Primary School, and really enjoyed coming together for the cowboy-themed assembly. They thought it was fun to get dressed up and to sing and dance on the stage.
The excitement and anticipation for high school has been building. Our transition days helped the students get used to the new classrooms and environment and even the chance to meet new friends and see some old, familiar faces.
Our Christmas activities have been a nice way to finish off the school year. We decorated our classroom and the Christmas tree, made Christmas crackers for a friend, and joined the year 6s to make a snowman doorstop thanks to Miss Mercer’s mum.
On behalf of the staff at Joondalup ESC, we wish our graduating students the very best for the next chapter of their schooling lives. We know that they are capable of amazing things, and we hope that they will keep us up to date on their achievements and progress.
