Wow!! What a fantastic end we have had to an equally fantastic year! These last few weeks have been action packed – Halloween, Outback Splash, Crocs, Fantastic Friday Fun and now we are getting into the swing of Christmas! 

HALLOWEEN

We are lucky enough to have Mrs. Rowlands as our in-class scientist and she kindly organized some Halloween themed experiments. We had fun making all different types of potions and concoctions.  

OUTBACK SPLASH

We were lucky enough to have the perfect weather for Outback Splash. The children had a great time trying out the different slides with their friends and it was incredible to see their excitement as their confidence built, especially in those children who had not been there before.  

CROCS

Thursday of Week 8 saw us head off to Crocs Indoor Playcentre. We had our recess then it was off to explore! Our class loved checking out the slides, trampolining, playing with the ball cannon, riding bikes and climbing up the frames with the other junior school students.  

FANTASTIC FUN FRIDAYS

Throughout the year, Rooms 28, 29, 23 and 33 have been joining together to participate in activities that help promote fine motor and social skills. This term we have had different themes such as All Things Science, Water Play, Wizards and Witches, and Fairytales. These afternoons also provide an opportunity for the children to get to know different staff members and build positive relationships through play-based learning experiences.  

CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES

Week 9 has seen Room 29 really get into the swing of Christmas with lots of art and craft based around this celebration. Santas, elves, snowmen, gingerbread men are all decorating our room, along with our Christmas tree which the children enjoy decorating each day. On Thursday we even went up to Nature Play and went on an Elf Hunt, looking for those pesky elves that escaped our room!!  

We cannot believe the year is almost at an end!!
