This term during our Talk For Writing sessions we have been learning the text “The Tiger Who Came to Tea" based on the book by Judith Kerr.

To introduce the text to the students we had an afternoon tea and Miss Moule was our classroom Tiger. We have practised the text learning actions and are developing our story map.

We have also completed a range of activities including practising our cutting skills to make a tiger and then writing about a tiger visiting for tea. We also explored descriptive language with PODD and devices to find adjectives to describe a tiger.

We have some more work planned to continue for the rest of the term.
