Year 6 camp
Day 1
A trip to Fremantle to the Maritime Museum where we saw lots of ships, a submarine and a torpedo.
Then a play at the playground before heading to the Spare Parts Puppet theatre where we made our very own puppets to keep!
Dinner back at the campsite where we all enjoyed our spaghetti bolognaise that we had made. A few games of spotlight in the dark before settling for bed.
A great first day!!
Day 2
We spent the day at Kings Park out in the beautiful sunshine.
Cyril presented a wonderful indigenous story called Chunyart and the Cheeky Parrot. The children were engrossed in the story and got to see and feel a kangaroo skin, a boomerang and some other hand-made tools.
A big play in the playground, a hike up to the DNA tower and a bbq picnic lunch followed. Mr Hamilton organised a great quiz to challenge their general knowledge before heading out to dinner at Grill’d. A fun day 2.
Our final day meant we had to pack up all of our things and clean up our rooms. We enjoyed a morning at Scitech with a Planetarium show before heading back to school. We had pizzas for lunch before our parents came to pick us up. Lots of tired kids and staff but a wonderful camp experience had by all!!
