Room 16 learn Medieval History
Students of Room 16 have been exploring a range of topics this term, such as Medieval history, the Commonwealth Games, Cinema and AFL. They particularly enjoyed creating catapults in Medieval history and testing how far the machines could throw classroom objects such as dice, erasers and Maltesers.

We always enjoy watching events such as the Commonwealth Games, and were delighted to have Room 9 join us, to cheer on the Aussies in the swimming. It was great to see the Aussies perform exceptionally well and can’t wait for the next games in four years time.
Term 3 is the start of the busy period for Room 16. With activities such as Faction Carnival, Abilities Expo, Senior Assembly, Year 6 Transition and Year 6 camp, it is proving to be a whirlwind of a term. Everyone in our room tried their very best in the Faction Carnival and we had a blast of a day. Thank you to Mr Lee for organising the event, and well done to Gold faction. This week four of our boys will be heading to Crown to complete a drumming performance for the Ability Expo. They have been practising every Friday with students from numerous rooms and can’t wait to show off their skills. In addition to this, a couple of our Year 6’s have travelled to Belridge Secondary College ESC last week to complete their first of four transition days. They had a blast seeing their new school and rekindling with their old friends from last year. Lastly our Year 6’s are very excited for their camp in week 10. They have been preparing with the students of Room 9, looking at ideas for breakfast and dinner, while sitting in on meetings discussing what to expect on camp. It’s going to be an absolute blast of a camp this year, and we are all counting down the days until week 10.
