Principal's Report
Kaya!

Congratulations to the students who won the decorating competition and well done to all students for an amazing Science Week!
It was an wonderful week of excitement and I would like to recognise the outstanding efforts by Heidi Brough and Sandra Bennett who coordinated the week to engage students from Kindy to Year 6.

Yesterday was the beginning of Book Week and this year’s theme is Dreaming with Eyes Open. A wonderful selection of activities has been planned by our dedicated and enthusiastic Literacy coordinators, with activities happening every day both in class and during breaktimes. Children (and staff) are encouraged to dress up as a book character on Thursday and participate in the annual parade, starting at 9am.
Thank you to all parents for making the time to meet either face-to-face or over the phone with your child’s teacher. All IEPs will now be finalised, and copies will be sent home for signing soon. Once signed, please return to your classroom teacher.
Our next morning tea will be held in the staffroom on Friday 26 August at 9am. There will be a presentation by Brendan Everett about the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, with an emphasis on parenting children with disabilities of all ages. Brendan is a registered School Psychologist with a background in education support and supporting positive behaviour in young people. I encourage you to attend the morning tea and stay for the discussion. Please RSVP to Kirsty.harris@education.wa.edu.au for catering purposes.
Kindergarten enrolments are open for 2023, if your child was born between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019. Enrolment packs are available in the Office if you are planning to enrol your child into Kindy at Joondalup Education Support Centre. Please complete and return your request to enrol as soon as possible.
