In Term 1, we welcomed nine new kindy students to our class. We have Amelia, Ella, Braxton and Tyson in Kindy A, and Leon, Quinn, Chloe, Bella, Grace and Ruby in Kindy B.

We settled into our classroom and loved learning all about Australian Animals. We read Wombat Stew and made our own stews with leaves, sand, mud and even a few bugs. After that we read ‘Row, Row, Row your boat’, where lots of different animals hopped into the boat, before a crocodile came and tipped it over! We decorated our favourite Australian Animal with spots of natural colours. Finally we read ‘Galumph went the little green frog’ and made some very jumpy green frogs. We practiced the letters in our name by posting them into the frogs mouth with tongs.

We have had a wonderful start to our kindy year, and can’t wait to learn all about Fairy Tales this term.
