Kindy A have settled fantastically into school life over Term 1.  Our theme was Australian Animals, and we learned lots about koalas, wombats, frogs, kangaroos and crocodiles, to name a few!  We read lots of great books and learned some rhymes about the animals, as well as crafted them and developed language through role play with the use of PODD books at our tuff tray during story retells.  We have been learning about the days of the week and the weather, and using various communication methods to discuss each.  We’ve begun learning the alphabet and Auslan signs for each letter, which we use when we sing the alphabet song.  We have enjoyed sport lessons with Mr Lee and particularly the sensory room on a Tuesday afternoon!

Coming up in Term 2, we are going to be focusing on the theme of Fairytales.  We’ve got lots of great books to read and some great art and even cooking activities planned!
