This term we have been enjoying getting to know our new teachers and friends within our class. We have started our first Talk for Writing text, ‘The Somethingosaur’. We enjoyed going on a dinosaur hunt, following footprints and completing activities we found in eggs. We have drawn dinosaur pictures and used adjectives to describe them. We have now put actions to the text to help us remember it all and we are now completing our story map. We can’t wait to innovate the text and make our own stories.

We were excited to meet our buddies this term, and had so much fun. Unfortunately, we are unable to complete sessions together for the time being, so we worked really hard and had a video call together. We are working on a surprise to show everyone and can’t wait to show you all.

Year 2/3 Video call

As part of our history program we (all year 2/3 classes) have been learning about significant people and places. On Wednesday 2 March we were lucky enough to be able to hold a video call with Sergeant Ange and Holly. They spoke with us about what they do in their job role, uniform, transport and equipment and how they have changed over time. We all really enjoyed the session and learnt lots. We then had a blast getting to role play in some police gear.
