Wow what a busy start Room 3 have had to 2022! 

We started the year off by learning all about what it takes to become Bucket Fillers.
During the day our teachers acknowledge when we display bucket filling behaviours by giving us a pompom in our “buckets” (clear tubes) and once we achieve 11 pompoms we can reward ourselves by choosing a prize from the class treasure chest.

During week 2, we began researching different Australian animals of our choice. We did this with one or two friends and were guided by a teacher. First we listed all of the things that we thought to be true about our animal, we then used the internet to ‘fact check’ what we wrote and to find out extra information. After we had gathered enough information, we spent the next session up at the nature playground and collected natural resources to create our animals. Some of us chose to make statues and others made 3D posters. We spent our final session typing or writing all of our information and presented it on the posters.
