In Room 29 we have had a great start to our year! It’s been exciting to meet new friends and their families. The children have enjoyed exploring new areas of the school that some may not have been in before.  

In health we are focusing on how we look after ourselves to keep healthy. Last week we talked about washing our hands properly. So, what better way to practice hand washing than to get them really, really grubby!! We had loads of fun making mud out on the verandah and then practiced scrubbing our hardworking hands clean!! All the children had a great time with this activity, especially when the teachers got into the mud alongside them!!  

We have also been joining up with our friends in Room 28 for Fantastic Fun Friday. Some of the activities we have done include, water play, painting with water squirters, ice play, playdough, drawing, dress ups, dancing and most importantly sharing lots of laughs with each other!! Through these activities we are learning about the world around us and how we interact with each other. It has been lovely to see relationships develop between the children as they play and we look forward to many more adventures together as the year unfolds!!
