The students and staff in Room 1 would like to welcome all families back to school.

As well as spending time getting to know our new friends, we have done lots of work including writing about our holidays and “About me”.

We have been looking at how people celebrate Chinese New Year. We listened to the story “Chelsea’s Chinese New Year”, drew a tiger for Year of the Tiger, did an art project of fireworks and cooked Chinese Fried Rice.

We have also started our Talk4 Writing story. Guess what story we are doing?! We all made a house and a wolf (it was really a hair dryer) came in the next day to try to blow them down!
