Artists at Work
It's been a very busy time in the Art Room. We have been creating a huge mural for the backdrop for the Carols by Candlelight event, with most classes contributing. There is still more to be added and I am really looking forward to seeing it hanging up at the Carols by Candlelight event. I hope you can come along and enjoy a great night of the arts.
The students in Rooms 2 & 22 viewed the artwork of George Seurat and pointillism. They painted the beach sand using lots of dots. The students also worked with colour mixing blue and yellow with their fingers to create the Christmas tree and grass.

The year five students viewed the artwork of Vincent van Gogh with the focus being "A Starry Night". Using acrylic and working with the design principle of movement, they each painted part of the sky.

The students in the specialist art class and Rooms 16 and 27 have drawn some Australian animals enjoying Christmas.
