Welcome to Mrs Parker in Room 2
My name is Margaret Parker and I have been fortunate enough to be offered a teaching position at Joondalup Education Support Centre in Room 2. I have worked in an education setting for the past 11 years and recently graduated as an Early Childhood Educator, so am very excited to begin my teaching career in such a unique and welcoming environment.
A little about me…
I grew up in the South Island of New Zealand, and moved here when I was 18. My husband & I have been married for 20 years in April and have two daughters, Jacqlin (18) and Aimee (17). We also have two rescue cats called Angus and Sadie, who enjoy zooming about the house and generally causing chaos!! When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends hiking, camping and Geocaching (a type of scavenger hunt), which often takes us to little hidden places we may not have otherwise found. Pre-covid we also enjoyed travelling and were lucky enough to visit the USA just before lock-down.
I look forward to meeting you all, so please say hello if you see me about the school!!

This week in Room 2 we have been spending time to get to know each other. We have been playing different math games that allow us to practice our social skills, while consolidating our number knowledge at the same time. We have also been doing lots of singing and dancing – apologies to Rooms 1 and 3 for both my singing and our noisy moments!!
