West Australian Education Awards

I am very proud to announce that Joondalup Education Support Centre is a finalist for Primary School of the year in this year’s WA Education Awards. Our School Board put in a school nomination. Next Monday we will have a group of panel judges come out to our school to have a look around and talk to students and staff. The award breakfast is held in November. There are four finalists in this category.

Sport Carnivals

Spring is here are we are getting into the sunny spirit with two carnivals! Today our whole school has gone to Beldon Education Support Centre to take part in the North Network interschool sports carnival. We will have lots of photos from this carnival in our next newsletter.

Joondalup Schools faction week is next week! Our faction carnival in on Friday 17 September and everyone is invited! There will be a coffee van for families and we will be selling;

Sausage sizzle $2

Bacon & egg roll $3

Water or soft drink $2

There will be a limited amount of gluten free and vegan substitutes.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone dressed in the faction you are supporting on the day.

Parent Morning Teas

Each term we invite families to come in for a morning tea on Fridays. We try and organise a guest speaker once a term. We have had very few families attend the last few morning teas and would love to see more people. If you are free on Friday mornings, or have a suggestion on a time more suitable for families please let us know.

Year Six Transition

Transition to high school has commenced for those students attending Beldrige Secondary Education Support Centre in 2022. If you have a child in year 6 but have not yet enrolled your child into a high school it is very important that you do as soon as possible. There is a lot of planning that takes place between Joondalup and the high school so we can ensure a smooth transition as possible.
