Student Councilors / Sports Captain Update
In Miss Hattons absence our Student Councilors and Sports Captains have taken the opportunity to write the Newsletter.
Year 6 Transition
On Thursday 19 August our Year 6 students went to our first transition day at Belridge Senior High school. Mrs Hutchings was our transition teacher and we enjoyed a walk around the school. We loved the cooking room and wood work room. James’ favourite part of the transition day was seeing his old classmates from Joondalup.
Senior Assembly
The Senior school students are busily practising for their assembly today. The theme for the assembly is the same as this year’s Book Week theme “Old, New and Other worlds”. We can’t wait to show off some great dance moves and fabulous reading!
Sport
Mr Lee has been helping us practise for this year’s upcoming faction carnival. We have been making sure to have our “butterfly hands” ready for the star relay and have been practising our throwing and catching skills for leader ball and pass ball. We can’t wait to cheer for our factions.
Don’t forget to mark it on your calendar. The JESC Combined School’s Sports Carnival is happening on Tuesday 7 of September. If you haven’t already done so, please return your permission slips as soon as possible.
Welcome Back Miss Hatton
Finally, we welcome back Miss Hatton from 2 weeks Long service leave. We hope you had a wonderful time in the sunshine up north. The senior students are so excited that you are back in time for their assembly.
