This term we have been very excited to follow the Tokyo Olympics.

Each student has represented a country for the two weeks of the games and the corresponding flag was placed on their desk.

We have followed a range of sports and kept tallies on the number of medals won by certain countries. The students have identified their favourite sports and favourite Australian Athletes.

Activities have included daily updating of the medal tally, the creation of individual books filled with pictures of athletes and student comments on the sport they represented. Each student completed a brief athlete profile on an Australian athlete.

Our Olympic celebrations culminated in a Room 9 Olympic day where the students each represented their country and completed a range of games such as bowling and ping pong drop. There were medal presentations and the students all showed good sportsmanship throughout the day.
