In - Term Swimming

IMG_3002.JPG

This week we commenced in-term swimming. Although the mornings have been quite cold, students have really enjoyed swimming and have been absolute super stars. The water is warm, and HBF Arena is warm too, it is just cold when we go back outside! Thank you to families who have labelled items so clearly, and sent in plastic bags for wet clothes. A huge thank you to staff who have volunteered to go in the water.

Building works

Our carpark upgrade has started! Our play equipment has been dismantled and will be rebuilt on the other side of the basketball courts. The new carpark will have 15 additional car bays and 1 additional ACROD bay. This will reduce the pressure on street parking, keeping these free during the day.

The upgrade to the carpark will start on Saturday 12 June and will affect parking bays as indicated in the image below and there will be no access through Gate 2. Access will still be available through Gate 3, adjacent to the childrens crossing on Candlewood Boulevard.

Dress up Day 15 June 2021

Disco.JPG

Next Tuesday Yr.6 students from the Primary School will be hosting the assembly. They have asked that everyone dress up in their best rock 80’s outfit. Black jeans, bandanas and denim are some of the suggestions we have been asked to wear.

Interschool Winter Carnival

This year we will be representing Joondalup Schools with our very first Joondalup Education Support Centre interschool netball team. A number of students will be competing against Currambine Primary School, Joondalup Primary School and Beaumaris Primary School. Students will be competing at HBF Arena, and those invited to play will have received excursion notes earlier this week.

Shout out to Room 9 and 16

Check out our own Mr Dawson at the AFL game at Optus Stadium on the weekend. Although he is Essendon’s number 1 fan, he took the time out to make this sign, which was spotted at the game. A big hello to Room 9 and Room 16!
