Kaya Wanjoo (Hello and welcome)

This term is really zooming by in Sustainability and Science. Junior classes have been investigating life on the farm and the changes that occur with each season. The Noongar season is now Djeran, the time when dew starts to form on the grass in the morning and many plants are showing their lovely red flowers.

Middle classes are conducting experiments on natural materials such as soil and water. We have discovered there is much more to soil than just dirt, and water can be both gentle and powerful. We have transferred this learning out into the garden to help us grow delicious vegetables.

Upper classes have been learning about Earth’s place in space. Our study of the Earth's moon and making of 3D models has been used to help us explain our learning.

All classes have taken on responsibilities in our whole school recycling, gardening and worm farming initiatives. Watch this space for more exciting things to come.

It is always an adventure in Room 34 and the students are becoming investigators, predictors, questioners and wonderers about our amazing world.
