Room 23 Love to Read
It has been a fabulous start to Term 2 in Room 23! We have been straight back into all our wonderful learning experiences and have continued with our shared reading sessions and are still thoroughly enjoying them. So far this term we have been reading some texts about bears which has included ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?’ and ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. We have been enjoying the adventures the characters take and have been exploring the different places they have been to find a bear, such as through the big dark forest and the deep cold river. We have even had our home corner turn into a Teddy Bear Hospital where we have been learning how to look after and take care of the patients.

We have participated in some other special events this term, including our first School Cross Country event. Room 23 all did an amazing job and all the students made great progress with their running as they have been practicing in sport.

We also have been learning about special celebrations we have in Australia during our History sessions and spent some time discussing what we can do to celebrate Mother’s Day. We created beautiful cards and gifts for our Mums. We hope they all had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

We can’t wait to see what adventures we get up to next, hopefully we can go on our very own bear hunt!
