Our Canteen is Open Every Day!

A big welcome to our new canteen manager Amy Daniels. If you haven’t looked at the menu lately check it out! There are some delicious things on the menu, and feedback from students and staff is that the food is delicious.

P&C Mother’s Day Stall

Thank you to our P&C for organising the Mother’s Day staff last week – it completely sold out! Happy Mother’s Day to all those who celebrated on the weekend.

National Reconciliation Week 27 May – 3 June

Reconciliation.jpg

Joondalup Schools are planning a number of activities and events to promote reconciliation, throughout NRW 2021. Together with our families and the community, we have a number of ideas for meaningful activities and learning, to ensure that Reconciliation is #morethanaword. If you have any feedback or suggestions, or would like to help and take part during this time, please get in touch and let us know.

Junior Assembly

Last week our junior students hosted the assembly with a theme on road safety. Our students were amazing on stage, and performed a very polished song complete with actions, without the support of staff during the performance. Congratulations to all students and staff who put together the assembly, spoke and addressed the audience, and demonstrated examples of transport in action during the performance.

Cross Country

Last Friday Joondalup Schools competed in our school cross country event, at Windemere Oval. Some of our students are more competitive than others, however everyone enjoyed participating through running, walking, partially completing the course and cheering their friends to complete the course. A huge congratulations to Oliver who came second in the event for his year group. He will now represent our schools at an interschool event later in the year.

Our thoughts are with Jacquie Gellel (Barbera) and family

It is with a heavy heart I wish to inform you that Jacquie passed away earlier this week, after a short illness. Jacqui was the Principal here at Joondalup Education Support Centre in 2013, and has been a leader and education advocate for students with disability for many years. This is a great loss to her family, and to those in education support.

School Bus Services

We are in talks with School Bus Services about the service we currently receive.  If you are intertested in applying for the school bus or have applied in the past and are waiting for a seat please contact them with your query.

Garden of Weedin’

Over the coming weeks our Garden of Weedin’ will be having a makeover to include a space to support our sustainability projects, and to give more space to our trees which are growing too large for where they are now. Watch this space!
