Exploring Numbers with Room 2
We have enjoyed exploring numbers and solving simple problems in maths throughout the term.
Some of us have used rhymes, and matching objects and pictures to numbers and made counting sequences.

Others used Multi Attribute Blocks to show their understanding of place value when working with larger numbers and a Number Board to see the value of money to sequence coins. We are learning to order non sequential numbers and complete addition sentences using a balance scale to check our work. We enjoyed making our shape pictures.

Playing games is also helping us to be great listeners and speakers. These games are helping us learn about rhyming words and the pronouns we use when speaking and writing.

Harmony Day
We prepared for Harmony Day by working together to create our doves. Each person had their own colour, and we took turns to finger paint each dove.
We each made a flower symbol using orange which is the colour used when celebrating Harmony Day.

Music Rocks
We continue to explore our musical talents in our Music Rocks Lessons.

Term 1 has been very busy and enjoyable in Room 2. It is hard to believe that the holidays begin at the end of next week. We hope everyone has a safe and happy break.
