Artists at Work
Cushions
The students in rooms 21 & 28 created cushions. They printed dots onto a piece of calico using fabric paint and pool cover. A fish was drawn , a paper stencil cut and the fish screen printed over the dots.

Curious Creatures
Celebrating Childrens Book Week is always fun. In Visual Arts we read the story, "Where the Wild Things Are", by Maurice Sendak. After viewing the illustrations, the students created a curious creature. The creature was drawn in felt pen and coloured with water colour pencils. These works of art were created by the students in rooms 2, 3, 21, 27 & 28.

Working with Textures
The students in rooms 2, 3, 21, 27 & 28 used real textures on a gel press to print implied textures.

Nyingarn Echidna
The students in rooms 2, 3, 21, 27 & 28 viewed a video story "Nyingarn Koorda Djinanginy" read by Beccy Garlett
Then they created a nyingarn or echidna from direct instructions. They used wax crayon and then added a dye wash.
