On Wednesday 23 November a very excited group of Yr.6 students arrived at school ready to go on their school camp. With sleeping bags and pillows in tow we piled onto the bus headed to our first stop Caversham Wildlife Park, where we got to explore the park, feed the kangaroos, watch the farm show and meet Gus the wombat. After lunch we headed to the Keith Maine Centre which would be our base for the next two nights, we set up our beds, had a look around the camp site and then changed into our bathers ready for a refreshing dip in the pool. After a restful afternoon we were back on the bus heading to Hogs Breath for a delicious dinner followed by ice cream for dessert. Then it was back to camp and into our dorms ready for bed after our first fun filled day.

Thursday morning, we woke up bright and early, had some breakfast and got ready for a jam packed day at the Swan Valley Adventure Centre. We did loads of fun team building games and some of us even went on the flying foxes, it was so much fun! Then back to camp for lunch where we spent the afternoon swimming and playing camp games and we even had an impromptu dorm party. Then Miss Hatton arrived with pizza and a karaoke machine, so we ate and sang until it was time to jump back onto the bus and go bowling. Needless to say when we got back to camp, we all went to bed very quickly.

Our last day started with pancakes, followed by packing up our beds and dorms, then heading to our final camp adventure at SciTech where we went to a show about different power sources. The best part was when then hydrogen filled balloon exploded! We then got back on the bus where we headed back to school and had fish and chips and icy poles for lunch whilst snuggling in our sleeping bags watching a movie, the perfect end to an amazing camp, creating loads of memories with our friends.
