Assembly

Last Friday our middle primary students hosted the Joondalup Schools assembly with a space theme. Our students were absolutely fabulous, spoke into the microphone clearly, were respectful and patient on stage and knew all the movements to the performance. Congratulations to all students and staff involved, for all the hard work practicing and making costumes.

Camp

Our Year 6 students have been at camp at the Keith Maine Centre this week. Together they have engaged in a number of activities at Whiteman Park and in the community.

Faction Carnival

Congratulations to Green Faction who won the day with the most faction points at our faction carnival.

1st  Green 1162
2nd Red 1114
3rd Blue 1002
4th Gold 942

The day was a wonderful day and Joondalup Schools worked together to try and make the day as fun and smooth as possible. It was the first time in many years the carnival was held on the school grounds, and it made the day effortless for students and staff who could take a break, use familiar facilities, go back to the classroom if they needed to, and take some time away if they needed it. Mr Lee was an absolute super star planning the day and thinking of everything! Thank you to all the families and friends who came to support students, and for cheering all day!

School Review

On Tuesday 20 October Joondalup Education Support Centre will be engaging in our school review. Directors from central office, and peer reviewers come to the school to talk with staff, our board and families to learn about our programs, student progress and how we are improving. A report is written and published after our review. Our last whole school review was in 2016. It is a really exciting time as we don’t often get the opportunity to share the wonderful things we do at school, and how everything we do is linked to student progress and development.

Happy Holidays

I would like to wish everyone a happy and a safe school break. The weather will be warming up and it will be a great opportunity to get outside, and enjoy our parks and playgrounds. I look forward to seeing everyone back on the first day of term four, which will be Monday 12 October.
