Colour Run
The Colour Run is fast approaching. It’s happening on Thursday 9 November 2023 and commences at 1.45pm at the school.
Remember that all money raised goes to the P&C Association which in turn helps our students. Please go to the website to donate #1 Crowdfunding & Online Fundraising Site in Australia | mycause
In case you are wondering what happens to the money, Joondalup Schools has used P&C money to help subsidise Year 6 Camp, purchase mini trampolines for Kindy, develop the Nature Play area, and to buy reading books, new equipment for the garden area, and construction, Lego, magnets and train and road sets for Pre-Primary. Every dollar matters and makes a difference.
World Teachers Day 2023
On Friday Australia celebrates World Teachers Day. This is a day when we recognise the valuable contribution that teachers make to schools. I would like to acknowledge the hard work of the teachers at Joondalup Schools for their dedication and professionalism. Each day they work hard to ensure that every student engages in the learning program and works towards the goals set for them individually and as a class. There is no doubt that education continues to change, and the staff consciously work towards building their knowledge and skills to be the best they can be.
Right alongside our teachers are education assistants and support staff who equally contribute to making the school as successful as it is. Thank you to all of these people who add so much.
School Development Day - Friday 10 November
Please remember that Friday 10 November 2023 is a School Development Day so no children come to school. The staff will be participating in professional learning.

Please bring to the front office if you have anything we can use.
WOW, can we believe it is Term 4 already?! Room 35 have had the busiest, but best start to the term. We have been doing swimming for the last two weeks and we have absolutely loved it. We had a new student start this term and he has made wonderful friends already. Our theme at the moment in class is space so we have been using our artistic skils to create beautiful spaced themed artworks.
By the end of Week 2, we were absolutely exhausted from swimming, so exhausted that some of us fell asleep on the bus. We are so looking forward to rest the of the term; with our assembly coming up in Week 6, Adventure Week in Week 9 and we will start doing christmas crafts towards the end of the term. We are super excited!

Rooms 28 & 29 went to Caversham Wildlife Park
We're thrilled to share the joyous moments from Room 28 & 29’s recent trip to Caversham Wildlife Park! It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and endless fascination.
Our children had a fantastic time meeting all the cuddly koalas and playful kangaroos, embracing the wonders of this beautiful park. This special outing wasn’t just a day of fun, it was a chance to explore some of the animals we have been learning about in our recent Talk for Writing stories. Our little explorers had such a fantastic day filled with awe and amazement.

Here’s a snapshot of some of the work happening this term in Visual Art…… as lots of special art projects are happening!
First, the Year 6 students are working well to improve their techniques this year, which is evident in their beautiful self-portraits. They will be on display in time for their Graduation. The other classes have been exploring colour theory. They are learning about primary colours and mixing together to form secondary colours. Students were provided with blue, red and yellow acrylic primary colours and had to make their own secondary colours. They are enjoying the learning experience of being in charge of creating their own colours. The vibrancy of these artworks would put a smile on anyone’s face.
