Swimming Lessons
Next term students will be engaging in in-term swimming. This can be a stressful time for families, as many of our students require support when in the water, as well as to get dry and changed etc. We work in collaboration with the swimming team at Joondalup Arena, and make sure our group sizes are small. We also have many of our staff who go in the water to support our students, and students requiring one on one support will have a familiar staff member with them.
As swimming weeks get closer we will update you with more information.
Luminight – Central Park, Joondalup
On the Weekend the City of Joondalup hosted the Luminight event. Each year our students usually take part in the Lantern Parade festival at this time. This year, instead of the parade our students created lily pads which featured in the lake during this event.
Congratulations Nathanael

After School Sport - Term 2
We have been successful in obtaining a grant for our After School Sports program for Term 2. The chosen sport is Taekwondo and will commence on Thursday 3pm - 4pm on 29 April.
Research has shown that a form of martial art can be very beneficial to students with special needs. Due to the consistency and repetition, which helps create familiarity, students generally do very well. Students also respond well to the structure of the lessons.
A note will be coming home with students tonight with more information.
The Munchbox
Easter Hat Parade and Raffle
There was a fantastic display of hats at the parade on Tuesday. Lots of colour, shapes, sizes, detailing and creativity for all to see. Thank you to all of the families who spent time making their masterpieces and sharing them with us. A very special thank you to Miss Mercer and the School Captains who led the parade.
The school was overwhelmed with donations for the Easter Egg raffle and we were able to give away over 130 prizes to families. It was an egg-straordinary effort and the generosity, fabulous. Thank you also to everyone who purchased tickets. The P&C Association did a wonderful job of organising this fundraiser for the school.
